Fans anticipating the arrival of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined won't have to wait much longer. An exciting trial experience is set to go live on January 7th, granting a substantial taste into the game's initial chapters. Importantly, all progress earned within this demo is eligible to be imported directly into the full game upon its subsequent launch.

Beyond Just a Straightforward Remake: The Complete Transformation

This project is a from-scratch reimagining of the seminal year 2000 role-playing game, first known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a distinct step away from recent series re-releases, such as the recently released HD-2D versions, this version embraces a striking 3D aesthetic. The world have been crafted to look like intricate model sets, with characters having a delightful toy-like design.

"Even with the previous port, the main quest was still exceptionally extended. So we reached a decision that we wanted to tighten the story, [and] craft an experience for today's players."

Key Gameplay Improvements and Updates

The creators has added several changes to refresh the original gameplay loop. Among these are:

• Streamlined Overworld Battles: Inspired by modern role-playing games, low-level monsters are now defeated directly on the field without initiating a full traditional combat screen.
• Adjustable Combat Speed: Players have the option to accelerate combat animations to rapidly power through easier encounters.
• New Job System: One brand new vocation has been introduced for this reimagining. Additionally, characters gain the option to master a second vocation, significantly enhancing customization options.

These refinements are designed to tackle a key the 2000 game's common points of feedback: its considerable playtime. That initial adventure could easily require over 100 hours to see through. This reimagined edition has been expressly designed to refine flow and reduce any bloat.
